On May 30th at Pyeonghwa Temple.  

Today at Pyeonghwa Temple, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  

a general memorial service lasting a full 4 hours and  

a special joint memorial service for the Korean War veterans were held.  

On this day, four monks, including Chief Abbot Sangmyeong and Monk

Deokjae who came from Korea,  

performed bal-ah dance, drum dance, and flute, giving many people deep

emotion.  I offered a cup, lit incense, and  

called out the names of all 516 spirits one by one.  

From the start of the ceremony, tears welled up and I tried hard to hold them

back.  Even though it lasted a long 4 hours,  

it was such a rewarding and happy moment for me.  

It will be remembered for a long, long time in my life.
